What a scan is

A coverage scan is one pass through the sports events and betting markets GLINTARY can currently review. It records which events and markets were available, what prices were observed and which selections were strong enough to move into research consideration.

Duration

Elapsed time from the recorded start of this scan to its completion. Duration depends on the scope of the scan, the response time of the data source and the number of events and markets processed.

Full global

A complete scheduled pass across the sports and markets GLINTARY is configured to review.

Targeted

A focused refresh of selected sports, run on demand rather than on the schedule.

Reduced

A completed scheduled pass whose available events were materially fewer than a typical recorded pass. The figures are what was available to review, and the record does not say why.

Legacy

A scan recorded before GLINTARY stored the scope of each pass. Its counts are exact; its intended scope is not on the public record.

Board-day decisions at completion

The research decisions recorded for that whole board day at the moment the scan finished: how many candidates were researched in depth, how many became published positions, how many were declined after research, and how many went on the watchlist. They belong to the day, not to this one scan.

Initial candidates

Selections this scan admitted to research consideration, one per event at most. Most are never published; being a candidate is the start of the work, not a recommendation.
